Snow on the mountains

A shot from Maggie's back yard.  There was a skiff of snow on her yard and roof this morning.

iPhoto on the Mac is an awkward tool, but what is cool are all the stats that come with each picture.  I shot it with an 18-200 zoom, and that stats tell me it was zoomed at 170mm.  One adds 50% to get the equivalent on an old 35mm film SLR.  This is because the sensor on my type of DSLR is about 50% smaller than 35mm.  There are DSLRs that shoot "full frame" but they are like twice as expensive as what I got.  Also a shot at this length of lens would be impossible to do hand held, as I did, without the vibration reduction (a.k.a. image stabilization and other manufacturer specific terms.)
